10/23/2012 Chesapeake Explorer aggregates information about national parks, state parks, Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network sites, and sites along three national historic and scenic trails in the watershed.
07/30/2012 On July 30 the Trail was officially launched with a ceremony in Baltimore, MD where partners trail-wide were recognized and the trail was declared "open and ready for visitors."
07/20/2012 Join us in Baltimore's Fell's Point at Broadway Plaza from 10 am to 12 noon on Monday, July 30, as we celebrate the launch of the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. Festivities include the Fort McHenry fife and drum, the Fell's Point town crier, and a flag folding ceremony in which we all participate. Look for us under the tent. Cupcakes to follow!

06/06/2012 In Full Glory Reflected: Discovering the War of 1812 in the Chesapeake -- Adventures along the Star-Spangled Banner Trail is now available.
06/01/2012 Starting now, you can pick up a handy Pocket Guide to the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail so you know where to go and what to see along the trail.
05/30/2012 Three-sided signage kiosks have been installed at 25 sites along the trail – in the Upper Bay, on the Eastern Shore, in Southern Maryland, Baltimore County, Prince George’s County, and soon on the grounds of the Naval Academy.
05/29/2012 The National Park Service Chesapeake Bay Office collaborated with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to mark the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail on the water, on the web, and with a telephone call to NOAA’s Chesapeake Bay Interpretive Buoy System (CBIBS).
04/19/2012 The draft comprehensive management plan and environmental assessment (CMP) for the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail is now available for public review on the trail’s planning website
11/16/2011 The National Park Service and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation have agreed to partner on youth projects on the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail. This initiative will seek to connect youth to historic places through service learning.
04/21/2011 The National Park Service Chesapeake Bay Office announced the appointment of 24 members to the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail Advisory Council.
06/10/2010 The National Park Service Chesapeake Bay will co-host a series of workshops in early November and encourages public involvement. At these workshops, the National Park Service (NPS) and its partners in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia will provide updates on trail planning. NPS encourages the public to attend and participate.
